Robyn is eager, adventurous, and versatile – all important traits in a good real estate agent. She loves Broadway show tunes and will gladly tell you about some of her favorites. Robyn also enjoys volunteering for agencies that involve children, finding her time with CASA and Douglas County SafeKids very rewarding.

If you check Robyn’s listings page and don’t see anything, it’s because houses are selling fast. There will be more coming soon.

About Robyn

Robyn has lived in Douglas County her entire life. More specifically, she has lived on the same road, growing up on a farm surrounded by cattle and pastures.

She likes to seek new things: homes, yard art, and beautiful sunsets, to name a few. Robyn’s family hosts international students as they experience a year of high school in America, and she especially enjoys going to visit those students when they return home.

She has worked in education since 1985, learning skills such as planning, observing, and interacting, all valuable assets in her real estate career. Her warm nature makes Robyn a great fit for this relationship-centered business.

Robyn’s community involvement and designations include:

CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) volunteer since 2013. CASA helps secure permanent placement for children who are in the child welfare system because of alleged or confirmed abuse or neglect.

Leadership Douglas County Class of 2022 – A leadership development program that gives members opportunities to make connections, gain insights about the community, and practice leadership skills

C2EX – Committed to Excellence endorsement from the National Association of Realtors (NAR), which empowers REALTORS® to evaluate, enhance and showcase their highest levels of professionalism.

GRI – Graduate, Realtor Institute through the Kansas Association of Realtors, which helps agents gain in-depth knowledge on technical subjects as well as the fundamentals of real estate.

What clients say about Robyn

Robyn was great, I am pretty sure we were the crazy clients. It took us years to find the right house at the right price. Every time we called she answered with enthusiasm and persistence. After a bit of time, we found the right house. She was super professional and knowledgeable when it came to the closing process. In Robyn, my wife and I made our first friend in our new community. I wish nothing but good luck with Robyn and her team in the future.

Robyn did a great job negotiating the purchase of our new home in a tight seller’s market. Her advice was spot on! But she did an even better job getting our old house ready to sell. It was a unique property that needed just the right buyer… and she found that buyer and had a contract within three days.

If I could only use one word to describe Robyn, I would have to choose patient. We tasked Robyn with an almost impossible job — finding our dream, forever home when we weren’t exactly sure what that meant or where it would be. Do it in a seller’s market where houses were selling in days — sometimes hours. Oh, and do it with us still out of the state.

Robyn made it work and she never showed how frustrating our situation and requests must be. She looked at countless houses for us. She drove all over Douglas and Johnson counties. She wrote up multiple offers for us. All during a pandemic too!

When we finally found “the one,” Robyn was the first realtor there to view it and the first to submit an offer. And we got it! She then oversaw all the inspections and made sure the closing went smoothly.

Robyn is indeed patient. But she’s also diligent and knowledgeable — and a lot of fun too. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Robyn Elder.
