Raised in Iowa, Joan studied interior design at Iowa State. After college Joan and her husband, Mark, spent nearly 20 years in Texas. They returned to the Midwest when they moved to Lawrence in 1996. Joan retired in 2019 after 29 years in the public school system. Working in real estate has always been on her bucket list. Joan has a passion for houses and enjoys the creative processes of design and construction. Her real estate career allows her to combine her interests, work with people, and use her natural abilities at marketing & sales.
